This study seeks to review briefly the development of higher education in Yemen, and the current reality of higher education, with a focus on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and updates facing higher education, and current and future efforts to develop higher education institutions at the national and institutional levels, with a special focus on university education. Finally, the paper presents a number of recommendations that will help move higher education from the current situation to the desired future situation.
