Attitudes of Sana'a University Professors Towards The Protocols of the Elders of Zion
A Comparative Study Based on Source Awareness

This study aimed to measure the consistency and objectivity of the attitudes of faculty members at Sana'a University towards a set of issues extracted from "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." To achieve this objective, the researcher employed an experimental methodology using a 45-item questionnaire. The questionnaire was administered to a purposive sample of university professors in two separate phases. In the first phase, the issues were presented to the sample without revealing their source. In the second phase, the same issues were presented with an explicit statement that they were taken from the Protocols. The results of the statistical analysis, using a T-test, revealed statistically significant differences between the responses of the two samples, favoring the first phase. When the source was unknown, the study sample agreed with all the presented issues, with 32 of them receiving a high degree of acceptance. Conversely, when the source was known, the sample only agreed with 13 issues at a medium acceptance level and rejected 32 issues. The study concludes that the attitudes of the research sample are not characterized by consistency and objectivity. Instead, they are significantly influenced by preconceived intellectual backgrounds and emotional and political stances towards the source of the issues, indicating that emotion often overrides objective reasoning.
