Research Article Preparation Standards

1. Manuscript Word Count

The body of the research article should be between 3,000 and 10,000 words. This limit may be extended to 15,000 words when warranted by the scholarly significance of the work, subject to prior Editorial Board approval.

2. Adherence to the Journal Template

Authors must follow the journal’s official manuscript template, available on the journal’s website. The template is designed to ensure a smooth and timely review process. Any deviation from the specified standards may result in review delays or rejection.

3. Structure of the Scientific Article

Title

  • Main Title: Concise and clear (maximum 15 words if a subtitle is used; 20 words if not).

  • Subtitle: Should clarify a specific aspect of the study; the combined length of the main title and subtitle must not exceed 20 words.

  • Title Translation: If the article is in Arabic, provide a full English translation of the title.

Author Information

  • Full Name: In both Arabic and English.

  • Institutional Affiliation: Academic degree, specialization, and institution (in both languages).

  • Author Identifiers: Strongly recommended to include ORCID iD.

  • Institution Identifier: ROR ID for the institution is preferred.

  • Contact Details: Email and phone number of the corresponding author.

Authorship Details

  • Specific Field: Indicate the precise disciplinary area of the study.

  • Funding Sources: Disclose any research funding.

  • Publication Ethics Statement: Include a statement confirming adherence to publication ethics.

  • Conflict of Interest Statement: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Original Language: Specify the language in which the manuscript was written.

Abstract

Provide a structured abstract covering Objective, Methodology, Results, and Conclusions, not exceeding 250 words. The abstract must be submitted in both Arabic and English.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords that accurately reflect the research content, in Arabic and English.

Introduction

Include background of the topic, research problem, objectives, significance, scope/limitations, hypotheses or research questions, and definitions of key terms.

Literature Review

Analyze and critique relevant prior studies, and identify the research gap the current study addresses.

Methodology

  • Study Design: Specify the approach (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, experimental, descriptive, etc.).

  • Population and Sample: Describe participants, their number, and the sampling method.

  • Instruments: Describe instruments (questionnaires, interviews, devices) and how validity and reliability were established.

  • Procedures: Explain data collection steps in detail.

  • Statistical Analysis: Specify the statistical methods used to analyze the data.

Results

Present findings clearly and objectively, using tables and figures where appropriate.

Discussion

Interpret and analyze the results, link them to the study’s objectives and hypotheses, compare them with previous studies, note study limitations, and offer recommendations for future research.

Conclusion

Summarize the key findings, highlighting the scholarly contribution of the study.

References

 

Format the reference list according to APA Style (7th edition).

For Arabic sources, provide an English translation of each reference: write the original citation first, followed by its English translation on a new line.

 

Appendices and Indexing

  • Appendices: Include any supplementary materials that support the study (if applicable).

  • Indexing: Include, where applicable, a table of contents, list of tables, and list of figures.

To prepare your submission to the Queen Arwa University Journal, please follow the requirements below carefully to help ensure acceptance and streamline the review process:

  1. Complete Manuscript

    • Submit a full manuscript that includes all core sections: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, References, and Appendices (if any).

    • Adhere to the journal’s official formatting as specified in the Author Guidelines on the journal’s website.

  2. Cover Letter

    • Introduce the authors and explain the significance of the research and its title.

    • Include the corresponding author’s contact details and confirm that the manuscript has not been submitted to another journal.

  3. Declarations

    • Originality Statement: Confirm that the work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

    • Conflict of Interest Declaration: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

    • Copyright/Publishing Rights: Sign a copyright transfer or agree to specific publishing terms as required by the journal.

  4. Funding Statement

    • Indicate whether the research received funding and identify the funding source(s), if applicable.

  5. Suggested Reviewers

    • You may propose qualified experts to review the manuscript and provide their contact information.

  6. Data Availability Statement

    • Explain how supporting data can be accessed, if available.

  7. Ethical Approvals

    • For studies involving human participants or animals, provide the relevant ethics approval documents.

  8. Supplementary Materials

    • Submit any additional materials (e.g., extra data, methodological details) as supplementary files.

  9. Author Approval

    • All authors must approve the submission and the scientific content presented.

  10. Accompanying Forms

  • Include required forms such as the copyright form and any transfer/license forms (for Open Access publication, where applicable).

  • Manuscripts may be written in Arabic or English, with abstracts and keywords provided in both languages.

Scientific Article Section Policy for Queen Arwa University Journal

1. Article Submission Standards

1.1 Research Title

  • Main Title: The main title should be clear, concise, and indicative of the research content. It should not exceed 20 words.
  • Sub-Title: If a sub-title is included, it should complement the main title and provide further detail on the research aspect.

1.2 Author Information

  • Full Name: The full names of the authors should be provided in both Arabic and English.
  • Academic Information: Includes academic degree, specialization, and the institution to which the author is affiliated.
  • Contact Information: The primary contact details, such as an email address, must be provided.
  • Funding and Conflicts of Interest: Any potential sources of funding and statements regarding conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

1.3 Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: The abstract should be concise, not exceeding 200 words, and should summarize the objective, methodology, results, and key conclusions.
  • Keywords: Between 3 to 5 keywords that accurately represent the main topics of the research should be included, written in both Arabic and English.

2. Writing and Ethical Standards

2.1 Originality and Quality

  • Originality: Submissions must be original and not published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  • Quality: Manuscripts should be written in a clear, scholarly language, with ideas logically organized and presented.
  • Word Count: The full text of scientific articles should not exceed 15,000 words. However, this limit may be extended as necessary due to the scientific importance of the article, provided that the total word count does not exceed 25,000 words. The text should not be shorter than 3,000 words.

2.2 Academic Integrity

  • Citations and References: All sources and references must be correctly cited according to the APA 7th edition. Plagiarism in any form must be strictly avoided.
  • Transparency in Publication: The article should include a statement disclosing any conflicts of interest or financial support received by the authors.

3. Peer Review Process

3.1 Procedures

  • Double-Blind Review: The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objective and unbiased assessments.
  • Number of Reviewers: Articles are sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

3.2 Review Criteria

  • Originality and Methodology: Articles must be of high scientific quality, with clear and reproducible methodologies.
  • Results and Discussion: Results should be reliable and well-explained, with comparisons to previous studies where applicable.

4. Retraction and Corrections Policy

4.1 Grounds for Retraction

  • Retraction of Articles: Articles may be retracted in cases of plagiarism, significant errors, or undisclosed conflicts of interest.
  • Corrections: Corrections will be published for minor errors that do not require retraction of the entire article.

4.2 Procedures

  • Retraction Statement: An official statement explaining the reasons for retraction will be published.
  • Corrections: Errors will be corrected and the correction will be clearly communicated.

5. Archiving and Open Access

5.1 Archiving

  • Digital Archiving: Articles are stored in multiple digital formats to ensure permanent accessibility.
  • Paper Archiving: Hard copies are preserved in the university library as a backup.

5.2 Open Access

  • Commitment to Open Access: All articles are freely available on the journal's website, enhancing the dissemination and impact of the research.

6. Ethical Standards

  • Integrity: The journal is committed to the highest standards of ethical publishing, adhering to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
