Abstract

The administrative organization and division of Yemen during the first Ottoman rule were among the most significant issues faced by the Ottoman Empire in Yemen throughout modern history. This organization was a source of debate and questions about the best methods for organizing and administering Yemen, with various trends and visions emerging during the first Ottoman rule. These trends included the reasons and motivations for adopting a new administrative division, and the benefits of suppressing the arguments that generated conflicts and battles between the Ottoman state and the Zaidi Imams in northern Yemen. Some historians considered the administrative method implemented in Yemen to be the main impetus for the conflict. Hence, the importance of this research lies in shedding light on this issue during the first Ottoman presence and its impact on political, social, and military stability.
